Squeaky Clutch Pedal?

Post by jbarrec »

I recently purchased a 74 Fiat Spider on BAT and am awaiting shipment (hopefully this week). The seller posted a video of them driving and it appears the clutch pedal is squeaking badly. Any advice on approaching a fix for this?

I'm sure it is something very simple but forgive me. I am not very mechanically inclined, but I'm trying!

Make sure you check that the cable is not frayed! might just be some grease is required on the pivot bolt by the pedal. Worse case you may need to replace the cable.
Sounds like the steering is squeaky also? Make sure you do a thorough check of all the important stuff Brakes, suspension, fuel lines/filter, drive line bushes and quibo. grounds etc

Enjoy!

Looks like the tach isn't working also. But it's running so you can enjoy it while you learn to fix it.

Yep, the tach isn't working (noted in the auction). I am hoping it is something simple to fix. Like you said, at least it can be enjoyed while working on it though! :)
