Front steel brake line removal
I have broken the steel brake line on the passenger side and will have to replace the entire line. Is there a preferred way to remove the steel line without having to bend it? Do I need to cut it in certain places in order to get the line out? I was planning on ordering the pre-made brake line from Auto Ricambi. Since I've never done this before it feels a bit daunting at the moment. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry about bending it to get it out. just disconnect it from the master cylinder and work it out from outside in thru the engine bay
the new one you have to bend to shape anyway, so bend it as little as you can to copy for the new one.
the lines are very malleable so they can take a lot of bending before breaking.

+1 on the above post. Try to preserve the current line to use as a pattern for the new one. I had to make a new brake line and it was an easy project. Just be sure to get the correct diameter line and fittings.

Re: Front steel brake line removal
Thanks for the info. Since I'm getting the lines from Auto Ricambi I assume it'll be the correct size. If I didn't go with them I believe the line size is 3/16" and the fittings are M10x1.25 with a non threaded lead in. That's info I found on here in a previous thread. I can't seem to visualize how this will be an easy project but I will find out soon!

Are you replacing the Master Cylinder? If you are, I think this is a good time to check all the lines and hoses. Get a decent tubing bender,

Re: Front steel brake line removal
I got the front brake lines out with little effort. I ordered a master cylinder and hoses to reservoir as well as the pre-made brake lines so looks like it will be a complete brake job now. :0
