Idle Stop Solenoid wire

Hi everyone,
I have a 76 Spider and in attempt to fix an issue where my car tends to stall when decelerating or stopping at traffic lights, I tested the wire going to the idle stop solenoid on the carb. I found that i was only getting .3 volts with the key turned to the ON position. So I'm trying to determine where the wire runs.
I have physically found where it goes through the firewall. Does anyone know where this wire goes after it goes through the firewall? I have a wiring diagram, but I'm terrible at reading those things.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, I found the other end of the wire. It passes through the firewall from the engine compartment, then comes back through the firewall near the coolant overflow tank. Then it ends at a 2-tab connector that is connected to absolutely nothing.


Does anyone know what this is supposed to connect to. Apparently I've never had anything plugged into it.

I just looked at some photos from 3 years ago. The connector in question was not plugged into anything then either.
So now I'm really confused.

Looking at the wire diagram in Mirafiori.com the solenoid is activated by a gray/red wire. That wire goes to a connector along with a second gray/red wire to a single pin. In other words there are 2 wires on that pin. The gray/red wire continues on to another connector and then to the Tachimetric switch. This switch appears to supply power to the idle solenoid. The wire diagram parts location page does not show the location of this switch. I believe you need to continue to follow the second gray/red wire to locate the switch.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I'll take a better look at it this weekend.
The wiring in my car is a mess to begin with and there are several wires that have been altered by the PO.
Does anyone know where the tachimetric switch is physically located?
