Hello my name is Paul and I recently brought a Northern California car home to Minnesnowda. Its from an original owner with 66,000 miles on it. I have purchased a new weber 38/38 from redline and i'm about to try and swap it out. The car is bone stock original right now. It runs for about 5 minutes and then kills every time I push the clutch in to shift. Here are some pictures from its original home near Sacramento. (once I figure out how to post pictures)

Hmm I didn't see this post, that answers my questions. Good luck with your new carb.PocketThunder wrote:Hello my name is Paul and I recently brought a Northern California car home to Minnesnowda. I'm in Minnetonka. And there is another Fiat Spider in town about 6 blocks away that I saw the other day. I need to get over and introduce myself.Bigbeardlittlecar wrote:Welcome! Where at in MN do you live?! I’m in southwest MN!

Hi there, I'm about to do my own intro post but saw yours so decided to say a quick hi.
I have a 79 just like you, bought it in June and have spent my summer tinkering away. In the middle of a carb swap - ugh! How did yours go?
I split my time between St Paul and Buffalo (often in the Fiat). So I imagine each commute I pass somewhere not far from you.
I saw there's a fiat club in MN - have you ever attended an event? They have a June(?) tour each year that looks like fun, but I learned about it a few days too late.
Would be fun to get a group of owners/significant others together for a joy ride before the snow hits....a local ride to watch the leaves change or something.
