Hi from Central IL

Hi all,
I bought my first Fiat, an '81 Spider, last Tuesday as a combination birthday (yes, it is one of the big ones) and graduation gift. It's been fun driving it around for the last week. I look forward to many summers with the top down!

I've wanted a Spider since I was a young teenager. I lived with my grandparents and mom when I was a young child. My grandfather always seemed to have some sort of foreign car around that he was tinkering with. And his son, my uncle, who is just 5 years older than me, had an X1-9 in high school. Riding in that car with the top removed was my first experience in a convertible. Ever since then, I have loved Fiats!

I know that I will likely have many questions in the coming months and am really happy to have the opportunity to be a part of this forum of knowledgeable and experienced owners! I look forward to getting to know all of you (and my car!) better.
