What are the consequences of having the booster plunger adjusted in too far? Maybe 1/6 of an inch in ?

The pedal must travel farther before engagement.

If the piston rod tip is extended past the specification, that would push the rear piston in the master cylinder inward farther than needed, potentially causing the brakes to lock up. You can try it, but you brakes might be glowing red after your first drive.

Thanks Odoyle,

I was driving at the piston rod receding into the booster a hair too far. About 1/16" short of the master cylinder.
