Hello all!

New member and recent new owner of a 1973 Fiat 124 Spider. Looking forward to learning and sharing as much as possible on this forum.
About myself: 27 year old from Victoria, BC. Recently moved from Ottawa and Halifax, and with the great weather out here I decided to finally get myself a project.
The car: 1973 Fiat 124 Spider, 1592CC original motor with about 120k miles on it (if the odometer is correct). I picked it up from the second owner who had it from about 1985. The PO was a bodyman and engineer, and repainted it himself from orange to red with a good, driver quality finish. At the same time,he shaved the side signals and badges almost entirely. It had been sitting for about a year or two due to health issues, but after some regular maintenance it is coming back alive.
It is mostly in need of new rubber underneath, new interior, and a new top. The focus has been to get it running smoothly, and after a new top that is currently being installed, I'll work on brakes and suspension. As is, it is drive-able and very fun!
Cheers!

Welcome, Otter! You're going to find a lot of great folks here with a lot of helpful information. There's a few of us on the Island, although I think we're pretty spread out! Have fun!

Thanks for the welcome!
I've found a few people in Victoria with a few odds and ends tucked away to help with the restoration. I've noticed the scene here is more oriented towards MG's and the like.
Hoping I can find a few more interested parties at some spring time shows and events.
