Temp gauge problem

Thought I would let everyone who responded on this subject that I got it fixed. I inspected the spade connector and it felt just a little loose. I crimped it so as to fit tight and now gauge is working as it should. Apparently the connection was just weak enough so as not to send a constant and correct signal.

That's why I am becoming more inclined as the years pass to go old school on these things.
