I did the relay mod for the headlights and WOW that made a huge difference but will the 10 gauge wire mod to the igniton cause any problems with the headight mod? My dash lights are still dim and the wipers are still slow and I noticed when I turn the head lights on the temp gauge seems to run a little hotter.

Ignition Question
Re: Ignition Question
plan on cleaning and securing all of the ground connections, and remove all of the fuses, clean the contacts and crimp them together so the fuses fit tightly
Re: Ignition Question
taylor,
where are you picking up your 12v source for the relays?
where do you intend to pick up your 12v source for the #30 ignition switch terminal?
i recommend BROWN WIRE SURGERY from the battery to the ignition switch, and then from there to the headlight relays.
of course, you could alway run the headlights from the alternator, which gives you no headlights if the engine is off. or you could run both/either from the starter, which is basically the same as from the battery (if you can reach the starter connection).
which ever you choose, your dash lights and wipers will love you for it.

Re: Ignition Question
For the relays I'm coming of the altenator and the brown wire surgery is what I was wanting to do. I forgot the name tho. Just wondering if there would be a problem doing both?
The relay setup for the headlights I found on another Fiat forum before I found this one.
Thanks,
Taylor

Re: Ignition Question
the alternator is a convienent place to grab a fresh supply of 12 volts. nothing wrong with that source. just keep in mind that the engine needs to be running for any of these modifications to work... you will have zero headlights if the alternator is not spinning. which is specifically why i prefer to go to the battery for source power. there are times i want my headlights on without starting the car.

Re: Ignition Question
the alternator does not have to be turning. You attach the wiring to the BAT terminal on the alt, it has constant battery voltage
