Does anyone know how to soften and stretch a taillight gasket to make it fit properly?? Warm water is not enough
Thanks

Re: Taillight gasket
Old steam iron on the steam setting with the gasket under a lint free shop towel. I also soften vinyl flooring that way to may it easier to removed or to soften the glue where its bubbled and press it back down without burning the flooring.

Re: Taillight gasket
Thanks
I will try that, does it stay stretched?
This came about because I cleaned the lenses in the sink and also drilled out al the rivets on the taillight boards and cleaned, tinned and soldered the bulb housings to the board. Anywhere between 2 and 5 ohm reduction in resistance along the board paths. All are less than 1 ohm now. One more electrical task done.
Then I went to put the lenses back on and no way would the gaskets stay in position
Next is the ignition switch rebuild and brown wire install
