are you registering and putting the car on the display grounds, or whimping out and parking in the spectator area?
c'mon John. It will be fun. Logan says we could put more cars on display than the Ferrari boys, if we just getta little more participation....

Well, since I unexpectedly finished third in my class at FFO , I guess I have to go display all the way! I will be paying the extra ten bucks to register the day of the show, though, because I am not yet sure if I can get out of a prior holiday commitment.

Ooooh, I almost know two people with the best Fiats!
Congratulations John, we know you did a lot of work to get your car to this point.

Re: 3rd Annual Italian Gathering in Dublin Ohio August 31
Thanks guys. As Mike mentioned, I brought the wife and kids as well (boy, 6; girl, . The whole family had a good time. My kids have been to so many shows with me, that no one ever expects to win anything, because we never do and winning an award isn't why you go to these these events in the first place. But I have to say, both kids really lit up when we won 1st place. We were all surprised as there were some really nice Fiats there (13 in all I believe), including a gorgeous X-19 that was nicer than my Spider and didn't win anything...go figure.
And although I was bummed (and a little embarrassed) that I towed my car to the event to accomodate the family and all of our stuff, I was glad to have A/C for the two-hour drive home as it was HOT and muggy yesterday. I must be getting soft in my old age
Thanks to Jon Logan, who took third place with his car and helped sponsor the event, and Mike Bouse for getting a whole crew of Fiats to come from far away places. We had three chapters of FLU represented and about 15 cars, including the two Lancias! This compares to only a handful of Alfas that showed up. I didn't do a full count of cars by make, but Lambo seemed to have to most with Fiat and Ferrari fairly even, then dropping off quite a bit to Alfa and Maserati.
I'll post some pix as soon as I get them uploaded. Unfortuntately, I only got pictures of individual cars, not the event, so hopefully Mike or someone else can post some pix as well.
