Digital Clock

Working on my 1984 Pininfarina and trying to get the clock set up. Two issues: Occasionally it loses power and goes into "flash" mode. I've checked fuses, connections, etc. but for whatever reason is resets and I have to input the time again. It is a short somewhere but I'm running out of places to look. Second...does anyone know how to change the set up to regular 12 hour time as opposed to 24 hour military time? Thanks in advance...

Do have a wiring diagram for the 84? I'm not at home to look, but I think different parts of the digital clock are powered through three different fuses. I'm currently have an issue with one of these fuses (H) and am trying to track down something called a "digital clock dimmer circuit".

Unfortunately, I don't have a wiring guide for the 84 but to my knowledge there is no "dimmer circuit" to the clock. I've had the car for over 20 years and I don't recall that ever being a feature. I do know it is not connected to the rheostat dimmer in the dash so not sure if it is connect to any other point. I think there is only one fuse associated with it though.

Here is a link to the 84 wiring diagram and the 85 owners manual. You will have to register to access, but the website has a lot of resources.

The interesting thing about the digital clock dimmer circuit, it's listed on fuse H of the owners manual. I have no idea of what this is.

I would think the clock would have at least 2 power inputs. One would be power all the time to run the clocks time circuit whether the car is being used or not. The other would power the display for the clock when the car is being operated.

The wiring diagram doesn't specify which wire is for what, but it appears the digital clock is on fuse I (directly to fuse box), fuse H (passing through the rheostat), and fuse N (directly to the fuse box). It looks like fuse I is keyed and fuse N is always on.

fuse H (passing through the rheostat),
I just checked a wire diagram, I'm thinking the wire from fuse H (yellow) goes to the panel light dimmer. There it connects with a yellow black wire that goes to C28 where it connects with a yellow red wire that goes to the clock. So Fuse H is a power into the the clock it is not a "Panel Dimmer" output into the clock.
I have no experience with the 83-85 Spiders but I was thinking some of the clocks were also a volt meter and could display volts or time. Maybe that would explain the 3 fused powers into the clock.
