1985 Pininfarina Azzurra Spider Wiring Diagrams?

Post by laforzaland »

Has anyone purchased the 83-85 Pininfarina Azzurra electrical wiring diagrams from International Auto Parts? I am in need of accurate wiring diagrams for many circuits and can't seem to locate any downloadable resources on the web that match my '85. I am not opposed to purchasing this set of wiring diagrams from IAP, but am trying to find someone who has purchased this set and can verify that they are accurate to an '85. I know... I should be more trusting. Can anyone help?

Yes. I did take a look at his wiring diagrams. He offers a disclaimer "The 1980-1982 diagrams cover most of the electronics of the pininfarina Spiders, 1983-1985, though the wiring colors and some of the instrumentation is different. "

I looked that the wiring diagrams and, specifically, the plunger door switch circuit is not accurate. The pre-83 vehicles show the plunger door switch as a negative (-) that links to one side of the interior light through one connector. On my 85, the plunger door switch is a negative and the light switch lead is a positive (+). There must be a relay somewhere that I can't locate. Accurate wiring diagrams would help me tremendously.

Hi laforzaland,

I have purchased those wiring diagrams and then re-drawn them so they are integrated into a complete car assembly. You can see my post here

http://www.fiatspider.com/f15/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=33913

where I have a link to the diagrams. I have also just purchased an extra complete car wiring harness so I can continue this work and trace all the wires inside the taped bundles. However I have also just had twins and my time for hobby projects is pretty limited for a while :) you should be able to pan and zoom around the schematic, and also in one of my posts is a link to a list of connectors and components where there is a link to an actual photograph of the item. This was helpful for me since I wasn't familiar with every component and when tracing it was extremely helpful.

Cheers,
