Alright, I wasn't very smart. I had a connector to replace for the #2 injector, and I thought I could remember which wire number would go to which side of the connector but.....
My wire schematic wasn't very helpful. So I am asking - White wire marked #33 go to which side of the connector ? White wire marked #38 goes to which side of the connector ?
My assumption is that it does make a difference. Any help would be very enlightening.. ( Hopefully stupity won't strike again as I am heading back out to try and accomplish some more work without making another mistake, but anything is possible.)

it doesn't matter which way current flows through the injector. The tricky part will be if you replace more than one injector. You can't mix the wiring since the injectors have a common power lead, but to just replace one injector is not a problem
