Tachometer question

I have a 1980 spider and my tachometer does not want to work when I first start up the engine. I've done some checking and when I push up on the blue/black wire behind the ignition switch it seems to get the tachometer working. I thought some input would help before I start tearing things apart. I'm assuming the ignition switch may be the problem and I'm thinking about doing the clean and repair on the ignition switch. Has anyone had this problem?

If you have the original type (Sipea brand) ignition switch in your car, I believe the wires should be soldered soldered on to the switch terminals and there is a pigtail with a 6 pin connector about 8 inches long. This connector is a problem as often as the ignition switch. The blue/black wire is switched power out of the ignition and mostly powers the lights in the car. The pink wire on the ignition switch is the one that feeds power to the ignition coil. I would look more at the brown/white wires at the coil itself. If you car is Fuel injected one wire is for the FI system and the other is for the tach.
