No Drivers side Rear Lights -- Update!

Hi guys, easy question...

Drivers side rear lights: signal works, brake lights work, but running lights and side marker don't.

New bulbs, and no change.

The ground was remade with an O ring as the PO just wrapped it around the threaded bolt with the nut.

Left side is working fine.

Quick clean? Something else?

I pulled the connectors and they look like they need a good cleaning. I found this page

I think the left side and right side parking lights have separate fuses. Fuses 7 and 8 are the ones associated with the rear parking lights

I was having issues with the lights on my 81. Brake lights and side marker on the driver side if I recall correctly. Anyway I found that the connections on the circuit boards were the problem. I wasn't getting continuity between the graces on the board and the connectors. I had the heat and apply some solder to the bad joints. I also thoroughly cleaned everything and applied dielectric grease. The taillight lens gaskets let water in and then corrosion forms. Since I completed these repairs the lights out back have been working perfectly.

I gave a good cleaning to the board, and the drivers side is still out.

Now my front drivers signal is out too.

Do you have power at the lead wire connecting to the board or light?

I am not sure which side of the car your lights are not working. Is you car a right hand drive car???
Also do you have a test light or a volt meter to make tests with ??

Now these questions I can answer! The car is left hand drive. The drivers side signal (front and rear) and running lights are out.

I have a volt meter and I'll check the 4th lead, my wiring diagrams shows this to be a possibility.

I don't think you have a single issue causing all you light problems. I would focus on the parking light issue first. You did not mention if both of your rear marker plate lights are working.
I would remove the rear light board again so you can measure voltage. I would remove the lens on the left front parking light assembly. Remove the bulb and test it. If its good clean socket and reinstall the bulb. If the bulb is suspect replace it with a known good bulb. Check the ground for the socket at the drivers side ground spider. You will find a 2 pin connector with w yellow/black and a blue/black wire in it. follow these wires to the black jacket. There you will see a black wire follow it to the ground pod. This is the ground wire for the left front signal/park light socket.
Measure the voltage on the yellow black wire at the 2 pin plug with the plugs together (slightly pulled apart to access the pin) It should be battery voltage and present with the parking light switch in the "park" position.
Measure the voltage on the yellow/red wire entering the rear light assembly with the light assembly plugged in. It too should be battery voltage with the light switch in the "park" position.

In short:

Passenger side works.
Drivers side head lamp, brake and reverse lights work.
Side markers work.

So... it must be the switch. Thanks to Mark at AllisonAutomotive.

Now, I'm off to read how to fix that...

I'm not sure what problem you are troubleshooting. If the parking lights are working on the right side of the car and not the left I don't think a switch would cause that problem.

Argh, it happened again, but this time I figured it out before going crazy.

Checked the fuse and it was burnt. New fuse and I have lights again.

Someday, I'll react like a rational person...
