I want to disable the buzzer, so a few questions.
Though the seatbelt buzzer is one of several items supposedly controlled by one fuse in the fuse box, the wiring diagram shows a separate 3 amp fuse for the buzzer. And it shows that that fuse is not In the fuse box. So where is it?
Also, where the front seatbelt is anchored there is a wire. If I cut it, will that kill the buzzer? Forever?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Seatbelt buzzer.....1972
I just buckle up and forget about it.
I wonder how many folks would take Fiat to court if someone was injured in a crash and the seat belt warning buzzer had failed. I see the survivors many times doing this when a family member dies in a crash. One recent case involved a shift lever type more commonly used in electric vehicles that has a separate park button which the driver had not pressed so the car rolled back on him in his driveway killing him. If they put a buzzer in to warn you about not being in park and opening a door how many would want to rip that out too?
I had a car with all the voice alerts and I loved it while family members hated it saying it was creepy/irritating and that they wanted it ripped out. I didn't find it irritating at all to have everyone buckle up and completely close their doors because a voice warned them and I really absolutely loved no longer having my wife borrow the car and leave it low on fuel, with the washer fluid empty or leave it with the doors only partially closed, etc.

Easiest thing is to disconnect the wire from the buzzer.

Re: Seatbelt buzzer.....1972
There ought to be two metal "boxes" with wires attached on a small plate mounted under the glove box. Wiring diagram for 72's can tell you which is which. If you have an actual North American 72, pm me and I'll forward a copy of that specific wiring diagram.
I took all of the seat belt warning circuit out of my 72, since I don't start the engine until I hear a click from every passenger. I found that the space once occupied by the buzzer worked well for an adjunct fuse block which powers my (added) power sockets (for cell phones, GPS's, etc). That, and I could not figure out how to plumb the original circuit into the (badly needed) after market 3 point belt system I purchased.....
