Almost immediately crashing (unceremoniously) a '66 Mustang junker that I inherited when my brother moved to Japan when I was 21 I started looking for my next project car. It has taken almost 20 years to find it; a Pininferina designed, Lampredi powered wood dashed beauty. A 1971 124 Spider. And for a fraction of the price of a Mustang!
It turns out that the Fiat really does pose a very real wiring hazard to the newcomer. And the floor board on the driver side is rotten. But the worst part is that for some reason the '71 is an oddball.
Up first is the wiring. After having second gear replaced at a shop the #8 fuse and circuit are on the fritz. Will tackle the rest in due time.

Welcome to the club. 71s aren't too odd ball. tail lights are hard to come by, but everything else is pretty much standard and available.
