Brake lock
I installed a new brake booster and master cylinder in my 79. I forgot to check the adjustment on the push rod in the brake booster so all four brakes locked when I took it for a ride. I pulled the master cylinder and turned the acorn nut all the way in and I'm still getting the brakes to lock. Is there another adjustment? Should I remove the nut that's behind the acorn nut so I can turn the rod in further? Is it a defective booster?
Re: Brake lock
The same thing happened to me so i fabricated a small metal spacer to go in between the booster and master cylinder to give enough clearence.juvius wrote:I installed a new brake booster and master cylinder in my 79.
