Hello to all. I got my ’83 Spider 2000 on July 6th. It had been parked for most of the last 14 months. She ran rough but steady, so I limped her home on a 20 mile drive. She didn’t run well after that. I decided to drop the tank and work on the fuel system. Cleaned out all the rust from the tank, sealed it on the inside and repainted the exterior. Installed a new fuel pump, filter and hoses and got her running on 8/1/08 at around midnight. The engine is running smooth and revving free. Took her to cruise night last night and parked smack in the middle of all the American iron. I’m happy to say the car was surrounded most of the night with lots of admirers.
Looking forward to sharing more thoughts and experiences with fellow spider lovers.

Welcome to the site! You made a heck of a lot of progress in just one month. To post pix, you must first upload them to a photo sharing site such as photobucket or flikr. Then simply copy the URL of your photo, come back here and create a new string, and in the body of your post, click the image (IMG) button and paste your URL between the two codes that popped up after you clicked the image button.

Finally got the time to take some pictures and upload them. shortly after takng these i started redoing the interior. i'm replacing the carpet, fixing a non working A/C and replacing a leaky heater valve. does anyone have a lead on the wiring diagram for the '83? the manual i have does not give you much about wiring.

Very nice looking car Albert. That is the color I went looking for when I got mine, but bought red when I found a good one at the right price. No wonder you had the admirers around it all night.
