Hey fellas,
I recently changed my clutch, clutch cable, and the return clutch spring with the one from acto racambi and the clutch pedal is just like pushing the brake down and my clutch will not engage. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? Thanks
Changed clutch cable and spring doesn't engage clutch
Re: Changed clutch cable and spring doesn't engage clutch
Hi,
If the cable is attached to the pedal and fork, properly adjusted with no damge to the firewall around the clutch cable exist then what most likely happened is that when removing the clutch cable from the fork at the transmission, the clutch fork came off the release bearing and pivot. This happened to me once when removing the cable. You can try to re-engage the fork into position but has to be on the pivot. This is not easy to do. To better understand what has to happen go this link http://www.spiderroadster.com/124clutch1.htm as it has a diagram of those parts.
