Fuel Filter Location

Post by alexg2368 »

Can someone share a picture of where and how the fuel filter is installed on a 1981 Spider, I ordered a new one for replacement only to my amazement I cant find it. I see the fuel pump and that is all. I think the PO removed it and i have no clue where to install and the direction

an actual picture would be great.

Thanks. Looks like the PO definitely removed it, dont know why. I am going to have to make some brackets and install it.

Well since were talking fuel filters, I have a 76 Spider and can't seem to find one on mine. Any suggestions?

I would think for a car with a carburetor it should be on the fuel line just before it enters the carburetor.

you might post in "parts wanted" and see if anyone has a used filter mounting bracket hanging around they could sell you. That would be a lot easier than making something up
