Europe Trip

Post by Nick »

Well, I just got back from my trip to Europe the other day. We went to Ireland, Scotland, and England for 10 days. It was realy fun, and I saw tons of nice cars, Fiats, Alfa Romeos, MGs, Aston Martins, Ferraris, a Lamborgini, Maseratis, TONS of Porches, Jaguars, Mercedes Benzes, a Bently, some TVRs and Caterhams too! I probably am missing some. Anyway, I got a couple pictures of some newer looking Fiats, only 2 cars, there were many others but these were the only real neat looking Fiats I saw.

A Fiat Bravo:

Sorry about the camera angle, took the picture while running to our bus hehe.

And a Fiat Panda:

I thought this sign was really funny too:

I think we may have been driving during a car show somewhere when we saw most of the cars I mentioned. In about 30 minutes we saw probably $2 million in cars driving on the highway.

but hey glad you had a wonderfull time

Next time do the mainland , then you can drop in here in Belgium , you can visit the abarth works museum and in a radius of 2000 km you'l have amsterdam , paris , barcelona , cannes etc

Well, I'm going on a trip again with my family in less than two weeks. Its a Mediterranean cruise, we'll visit Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy. So I'm REALLY excited for that one. I'll get a larger memory stick for my camera to take pictures of more cars! I'm hoping to find a Fiat dealer to visit in Italy. I saw some in Ireland, but I was on a bus most of the time and couldn't stop to visit them.

Agreed on visiting the mainland. . . although it used to be much cheaper in comparison. Do you have any pics of the other cars? I saw so many Fiats last time I was in Italy and loved it! I even found a Lotus dealership on the southside of Milan in the Naviglia district (Elise owner as well). Great times!

Tappy where are you in Belgium? I was just in Brussels and Bruges in the spring. My fiance lives in Western Germany (State is Rhineland Pfalz) so she is probably within the 2000 km as well! I will be there in 3.5 weeks and then we are taking a trip to Sardinia. . . gotta love Ryanair!

Here are 4 other pics of cars I saw. I couldn't get any Caterhams or TVRs unfortunately, because we saw those on the highway going the opposite direction, much too fast for me to get any pictures of.

This one is a Lambo that parked right outside our hotel. It was really cool, many people walked right up to it to take pictures and stare hehe.

This one is a Bently parked outside the front of some shops in Edinburg.

Here's a Ferrari... I saw an Enzo too but didn't have my camera.

And last but not least, a Lotus driving by our bus:

There was also a Ford GT that drove by our bus, but it was too fast to get a picture. Plus my neighbour has one so I've seen them before hehe.

That could be a great idea. . . I do want to check out the mercedes museum. . . is the porsche museum finished yet?? Next year when I move to Germany we will have to get together and go on some drives! Are there many fiat owners around?

You'll only be in port for the day, so what's your itinery? I don't want to interfere with your plans but if it's a day we are free, we could meet you and the parents at one of your stops, and grab a drink and tapas. Or if you all want a day away from sight seeing, you'd be most welcome to spend it by our pool :D 8) We would enjoy meeting you.

Hehe, its too bad, I left right after I posted that pretty much. We were in Malaga for just a day, it was really hot. We didn't do much, we went and saw the castle, and then kinda got lost and just walked around aimlessly.
