Re: Car starts in cold start injector and the die
Yeah, I checked the Brad's FI manual, I checked everything, I put a new coil, new spark plugs, new fuel pump and check the wires of the fuel pump and are okay, yesterday bought a new pressure regulator, an expert check the afm, ecu and double relay, probably need to buy a multimeter to check the test that metion Brad in his manual for my own, the guy who checked the ohms in the ecu plug tell there's the correct ohms in every sensor and afm, so idk what I forgot

Maybe it is not the fuel injection system. Have you looked at the ignition pickup relay and control module and tested them? If these are faulty you'll send no signal to the FI system.

I put a new control module and a new magnetic pickup cause the cable was terrible, what's the relay you talking about?

If the magnetic plate in the dizzy is installed upside down, it won't work.

that is a very important piece of the puzzle.carlospena96 wrote:I put a new control module and a new magnetic pickup cause the cable was terrible,
after putting this in did it ever run?
try what azruss suggested and make sure the gap is correct, you are suppose to use a non ferrous feeler gauge to set the gap.azruss wrote:If the magnetic plate in the dizzy is installed upside down, it won't work.

I put the control module 5 months ago, cause I got problems time ago, but the problem was in the coil, change the coil and the was good.
What happens if the magnetic plate was broken in 2 pieces? Need a new one or can I put together with glue temporaly?

Re: Car starts in cold start injector and the die
regarding the magnet, I don't really know but I imagine it would be best to get one that is not broken..
what type of coil did you replace it with? I do know some have the wrong resistance for our cars and work for a while then stop working?
Do you know any other FI owner were you could swap parts?

I gonna flip the magnetic plate, if it don't do anything I gonna change it.
About the coil, I put a new bosch coil of 28000v, the car was fine for a time but now I got this problem, I check yesterday the spark and it is more than good

I got a question, is the magnectic pickup a equivalent of a crankshft sensor?

Re: Car starts in cold start injector and the die
Not really, it only tells the coil when to fire, the L jetronic system doesn't know where TDC is, it is an older batch system, all injectors fire at the same time and the spark control is purely mechanical and independent of the ECU, the ECU knows when to fire the injector based on the rpm from the coil, hence the importance of getting a signal from the coil, the injectors wont fire without a signal.carlospena96 wrote:I got a question, is the magnectic pickup a equivalent of a crankshft sensor?

Re: Car starts in cold start injector and the die
All of this points to an ignition problem.
The fuel injection system will initially fire all four injectors and (if cold) the CSI regardless of the ignition system. Once the system gets out of "start" mode it starts reading the sensors. If your ignition system isn't working then the FI system will not function.
I don't know what coil you used but too hot of a coil will bake the pickup and control module.

Hello, I flip the magnetic plate and I got the same problem that I have months ago, I fix it with a new control module, so I gonna put a new one and hopefuly runs.
Here's a question, where is the position of this white cable? The cable have a number (22) and the conector says "amp 2"
It goes inside the cabin

Re: Car starts in cold start injector and the die
What wires have you got connected to the coil and where?
What is the yellow wire?
The Pink should be power and connected to + B
The Brown and while I believe is the tacho and should be -ve.
My ECU wire was in a thick black sheath which should also be connected to -Ve.
You may need to confirm if you have connected the electronic module to the correct terminals??
The wire you have in your hand, was that ever connected? If that wire goes to Pin 1 on the FI harness then that would be the issue??
