On the cars with a mechanical fuel pump when Ethanol prematurely eats away the rubber diaphragm the fuel can spray into the crankcase diluting and corrupting the oil causing corrosion too. If you start getting a funny smell coming from your dipstick or oil cap or the oil level at times seems a bit higher than it should be then its time to stop driving the car and check the mechanical fuel pump.Alleycat124 wrote:Thnanks for the information.
