blowin my fuse

I installed an oil guage in my '79 and decided to hook the guage light into the plug where the clock drew it's light from... but now I am blowin fuses! Where would you suggest I draw the power for the light from that wouldnt pop the fuse?

sounds like a short in the oil gauge light somehow
