New Spider On Order

Post by Ramzi »

Just got off the phone with John Montgomery President of the Fiat Club America / FLU and Studio Manager at Benson Fiat in South Carolina. And we are buying their very first new Fiat Spider... the deposit is in the mail.

Road Trip!

Hi Ramzi Gillespie,
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to sell you the first 2016 Fiat Spider!
Fiat USA has not released a spec sheet, pricing or date of delivery but we will let you know just as soon as it is available.
We hope to have cars in early 2016.

It will be great to have you and Csaba come visit Upstate SC!
Major airline carriers fly into Greenville Spartanburg (GSP).

Benson Fiat is a 10 minute drive from the terminal and we can pick you up.
Considering that you are a major vendor selling parts for the classic Fiat Spiders this will be a historic occasion and exciting road trip back to Ft. Worth, TX.
Thank you again for trusting us with your order.

Congratulations! I will show this to my wife. She wanted the first one so you just saved me a bundle of money. Enjoy the ride.

Im pretty sure its not the 1st one in America... But it sure as heck will be the 1st one on my street. Should also make for a good Ricambi article at the very least.

Congats on taking the plunge. Bought one without even seeing one in person?

Be cool have a Fiat Spider selling here again. The build quality Should be better than current Fiat Chrysler's--should help a lot that Mazda is involved. I also hope they add a lot of Italian flare to it, and it isn't just a Miata with a different front fascia, a less reliable higher horsepower powertrain, and a Fiat badge.

Congrats on the new Spider.

You're buying it without "spec sheet, pricing or date of delivery", wow, now that's commitment.

Actually that sounds perfect to me :) less reliable higher horsepower powertrain et al!

Here is hoping the older cars go up in value a bit.

Currently the rumor is that the power train will be the same 1.4L as in the Abarth 500. And very possibly have a six speed transmission also. But at this point these educated guess based on hearsay.

But I have been told that I can probably choose my color.... I thinking BRG.... just kidding.
