New Member and new to Fiat

Hello,

New to owning a Fiat. Just bought a 1979 Fiat Spider 2000. Jumping right into the infamous wiring problems. Bought it with the following not working, tal lights, rpm gauge, gas gauge, turn signals. Trying to figure out where c36 and c35 connectors go to? If anyone can help that would be great.

Welcome! Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to your question. But if you post it in a tech area/problem solving, I bet you get an answer pretty quick.
BTW, I would go ahead and post a pic of the car. The natives here get pretty restless if they cannot see your car.

I'd start with the fuse box, make sure the prongs fit the fuses tightly. On the 79s, the rear light circuit boards are troublesome also.

I'm not very experienced with the car yet, but one thing I've worke on is the rear light circuit boards! In my climate, humidity has given them a lovely coating of oxidation of various kinds. The boards pop out of the car easily, and if it looks a bit rusty and/or grey, you can clean the board and sockets. I was puzzled a bit untl I tested each board circuit for continuity (bulb to harness plug-in). To my amazement, one socket that was riveted to the board actually had rust between the socket and the board, where it looks like a very snug and safe-from-rust fit! I drilled out the socket rivets, used my dandy mototool to brush everything bright (including using a small wire brush wheel, trimmed to fit inside the sockets), and all works nicely now. But check for voltage to the end of the harnesses (where they connect to the circuit board) first. Like Mark said :)

hey, we all have that wiring we gotta tackle. don't fret, it is sort of a rite of passage. once you get it tackled, however, it usually stays tamed... until the next owner (har har har).
