I've got a 81 spider. (fuel injected)
It was stored for two years.
However, I installed a new battery and it started right up.
After about a week-----the fuel filter clogged.
I had the tank cleaned and a new filter installed.
However, the car won't start. The plugs are getting fire-----but
it won't turn over.
Where are the fuses for the fuel pump???? Ideas??? Suggestions???
Spider won't start
Re: Spider won't start
if the engine won't turn over, I'd suspect a starter/battery or ignition switch issue. If the engine turns but doesn't start, then you need to check for spark, fuel pressure and injector pulse. The fuel pump fuse is inline near the steering column

Turn the ignition key on and open the door on the mass airflow sensor. You should hear the fuel pump kick on. The inline fuse Mark talks about is on a brown wire and it is stuck way up under the fuse box. It can be a real challenge to find, but if you follow the brown wire you will find it. There is also a fuel pump double relay located under the glove box.
