control arms
I purchased new control arms for me 1978 spider. I think the shop that installed them switched the uppers. I have an alignment shop telling me when he tried to correctly align the suspension the tires rub on the front fenders. I called IAP and Tom said this can happen. The lower control arms are probably correct because they have a bracket for the sway bar but the uppers can be switched. I think the alignment shop said he adjusted the nut all the way out almost to the end of the thread and it still wasn't getting to the correct numbers. Anyone experience this? Thanks Tom L

Re: control arms
The upper arms are so different, you would guess something is wrong because it won't go together without a lot of work. I know this because i was sent 2 right arms when i replaced mine. Anyhoo, the leg with the big bulge goes to the front of the car.

Re: control arms
So the upper control arms were switched. Now they are on the proper sides and the car is aligned. That was no fun!!
