Hello, and welome Makita. I've been seeing your name here, I'm glad you introduced yourself. I'm in touch with another Finlander, FinnSpider. I don't know how far he is from you, but he's probably glad to know of another Spider in Finland.
You have a very nice looking car, enjoy yourself!

I can tell by the surrounding trees that you have a similar climate to northern Michigan. I bet you are really glad the weather is starting to break for the better.
Very nice looking car. Thanks for sharing those pictures. Welcome to the site.

Greetings! Nice car!! I just bought my first one, it's a black 78. I worked on it for the first time today, with some success!
How do you like it so far? I guess it must have a good heater!!
Slainte!

Thanks, for You all!
Yes, I saw that here is another Finn. In Finland we have now beautiful spring, today was warm day (about 20 degrees celcius).
Spider is my "long time dream" and finally I got it.

Beautiful country.
Beautiful car.
What is that black cap under the hood on the driver's side of the cowl? It's not there up to '82.

Ron,
The black cap !
On some cars the Wiper Washer Water Bottle was moved to sit under the cowl, - more space in the engine bay, a couple of people have done this conversion here in Oz.
I've moved my washer motor under the cowl, since a replacement motor on the original bottle was impossible to find.
Regards

Re: New from Finland
Thanks Adrian. My wsher motor doesn't work either. I took the bottle off to try to repair it and there was no way. I figured I'd have to buy a replacement. Guess I'll either do without or figure another way to get one like you did.

Re: New from Finland
Great looking car! Welcome to the world of Spider ownership!
btw, interesting to hear about moving the washer....I mean, under the cowl is actually a smart place for it. In the past I usually moved mine to a shelf in my garage because I never really use the washer anyway. These days I'm more prone to A. use it & B. want it there anyway....so go figure. Whatever the case, I was never a fan of its place in the "FIAT" Spider 2000.
