Reuse guibo

Post by V12StealthHunter »

I have a good guibo that was only installed for maybe 20 miles before it was removed to perform some other work. Can I reuse it? I vaguely recall someone saying its nearly impossible to refit once they've expanded. But can't find that post any more.

Yes, once the band is off, they are very difficult, but not impossible to refit.

I here this all the time, but have never experienced this. I have installed and reused many a Guido and not once had I had an issue installing it without the band.
Just my two cents.

If it's too large just use some hose clamps tied back-to-back to compress it.

Add mine and it's 4 cents. Never had a drama refitting the doughnut as we call them.
