OK all youse guys and gals that I gave a bad time to last winter, your turn for turnabout. It's 103° today here in the southern edge of the Mojave desert. It will probably stay between that and 110° from now to the end of August.
I have just enough Indian in me to keep me from burning, but my poor wife is way white and a blonde to boot, so I think I'll be driving top down alone except in the evenings.

'Luxmore' doesn't sound too Indian to me. It must mean 'Man with squeaky brakes'!

Re: IT'S HOT!!
Thanks Dave for going easy on me and not bragging.
Ace, you're right, the Luxmore 1/2 is pure English, but my Mother is 1/4 Blackfoot, so the 1/8th gives me a reddish tan. Except the bald spot on the top of my head, that burns, hence the "Ron Luxmore hat".

Re: IT'S HOT!!
Craig, I had originally talked to Ace about towing the two cars behind my pick up, and share driving, but my trailer isn't long enough. Then my family decided to have a reunion at the same time as FFO. Then Ace decided to drive the whole route. Through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, in the middle of July. Talk about your iron butt! I'm not sure I would survive 6000 ± miles. But he's a youngster, or his wife Maureen is a physical therapist, one or the other.
Stow away in Ace's car, hmmm, if I throw out their luggage when they're not looking...

Re: IT'S HOT!!
We had a bout of that excessive heat for a couple weeks in the Southeast. I don't envy you a bit. Thankfully, it's back down to normal temps of low 80's.

Re: IT'S HOT!!
As I was driving down from LA to San Diego, my car's thermometer was reading 80... and this was at 1:30am
It was in the good 100s on the drive up this morning

Maybe we could find room! I took Maureen and our 20-yr-old daughter to the airport in the spider last Saturday, luggage and all. Ash was a bit squnched in the back seat, but she put up with it for the 70 mile drive, with minimal whining. How good are you at squnching??rlux4 wrote:. . .
