Ebay is getting horrible

Post by spidernut »

Many of us have bought and sold stuff on Ebay, but it seems Ebay buyers seem to be getting flakier than ever. I've sold five items in the last several weeks and four of the buyers never paid. This is despite sending an invoice, messaging them and reporting them to Ebay. I am growing weary of it all.

As we prepare the house for sale, I have been selling off lots of stuff on Craigslist, and surprisingly have had no problems at all. Tools, a canoe, bicycles, my truck, boat, lawn equipment, music PA stuff, etc. etc. have all been sold quickly and with no fees. Just price the stuff right and make sure that there is direct person-person telephone contact before pickup. This completely weeds out the email address scammers. And just don't respond to the "is it still available?" email responses. They are just email address phishers.

Hahhahhahaha! Yes so true! I stick with the ones who actually call and ask about the item and discuss it. They are real and I have never had a problem, we always have reached reasonable agreement on price, pickup, etc.

I am a "craigslister" .... the list of things that I have bought and sold is very extensive .... been doing it for quite some time and love it .... I think e-bay has its advantages for certain things and most certainly reaches a much wider audience ... but putting something up for sale or looking for something... craigslist gets the job done for me better than 95% of the time
