Best Round of the Year

Post by 70spider »

I just got back from my weekly golf outing and I shot the best round of the year, 8 birdies, 4 bogies, and 6 pars for a 68  I just had to tell someone.

Thanks. Well I think some context may be in order, the course in a 9-hole muni @ 6500yds from the back. It is fairly easy tee to green but the greens have mutliple slopes and roll out at about an 11. My cap before my wrist injury, torn tendons, was a +2 but now I only play once a week and usually shoot a 74 +/- 2 strokes.

I've shot 68 a couple of times - but generally I do better on the back nine.

Congrats on a great round. I love to play as well. How do golfers transport their clubs etc. to the golf course in your sipider?

P.S. My wife bought me a "birdie" flask which I use for congratulatory recognition on a birdie. If you have one it should be for eagles!

I don't have a back seat so I lay them back there with my tool set

I have to take the driver out of the bag then lay it across the top of the bag and they both fit in the trunk of the volumex. Then my pull cart will fit in the passenger seat.

i've golfed in the high 60's before, but prefer it a bit warmer.

mine is a subtle game... if i don't leave the gorund, i'm not swinging hard enough.
