So yea, nothing new on the project and I will spend the weekend finding homes for new bits and seeing if I can get the new ride to start up, if only for a minute...
Oh, and dash work, now that I have all the necessary parts!!

After seeing your garage, Alan, I just want to know where you'll put it! :)

Probably weld up a neat looking power lift or something.....

Well, I just got the new beast running so now I can clean up and figure out how to fit everything. It's a heck of a mess right now!!

I know, I know!
But Randy is almost there!

And as soon as I get the head and can finish assembling my motor all the front suspension etc is ready to go! I'll have the thing on the ground soon!!

Meanwhile, I ordered the necessary parts to divert overheating issues with the new beast so that I can have some fun with it!

I also ordered rebuild kits and new air cleaners for the 40 IDFs to get those on the 71 so I can steal my air cleaner back to the 77. So, in a relatively short period of time all three will be up and running. Some good, some not!! Haha!!!

The day has finally come that I get to see my assembled engine!!!!
I'm sure everyone knows how excited I am to have my dream TC almost complete!

After having to deck my intake cam box to achieve acceptable shim specs, Beek got my head together and shipped out.

Let the photos speak for themselves!

Thanks Andy!!
And Jim! That dizzy is a beautiful piece of Italian engineering! It's gotta stay! I have run a cobbled electronic dizzy with a crane bang box in my 77 for 16 years and have never had a single issue!
This is the engine I have been picturing in my mind for 2 decades!
I do still have lots to do, sorting carb linkages and rebuilding the dizzy but I did keep going today and got the rack all bolted in with heat shields in place. I have to go around one more time and check nuts and bolts to be sure I haven't left anything lose!!
I don't think it will get in the car tomorrow as it makes sense to me to work out the carb linkages with room to work. The goal is to get it in the car next weekend.
