HELP!
Ordered rebuilt calipers and installed them. Bled the front brakes fine, started bleeding the rears and the passenger side rear is leaking. But, it isn't the line that is leaking. I am wondering if the rebuilt brakes have a gasket missing. Has anyone every experienced a leak from the rubber boot covering the parking brake? Only thing I can imagine is that the gasket on the parking brake screw/piston/thing (what is it called?) is either missing the gasket or it is damaged. I really don't want to have to take apart brakes that were professionally rebuilt, but think I might be doing that. What do y'all think?

Re: Rear Brake Caliper Leaking
On the parking brake shaft, there is an "O" ring that is supposed to keep fluid where it is supposed to be. Perhaps on installation it was nicked? The rubber seal might not be installed quite right. The piston or sleeve could have a bit of corrosion / pitting that would allow fluid to pass.
I'd contact the place/person where purchased and let them know what you are dealing with. I'd like to think they would deal with it and fix or replace the caliper.

Re: Rear Brake Caliper Leaking
I just did my rear calipers two weeks ago with the help of one of my sons. We ended up having a bad caliper seal and had to disassemble the caliper a second time to replace it. Turns out there was a small divet in the seal--I don't know if we caused it during re-assembly or not, but once it was replaced the leaking caliper problem went away. But in my case the brake fluid was clearly coming from the main body of the caliper and not the rubber boot. I agree that in your case it's likely a bad O-ring.
