Repacked the front wheel bearings. Stripped the lower bolt hole on the drivers front caliper.
I got a used caliper from a friend, but it seems to be semi frozen. I had to set it on a wood block and bound it down to get it to compress.
Is there an easy way to loosen these up?

you need to rebuild that caliper! If you use it as-is you will have a pull when braking

Mark is right, if you had to hammer that piston down it is bad news. It will pull or lock up, don't use it. Scary.

I'm confused "Stripped the lower bolt hole on the drivers front caliper." Are you talking about the Caliper mount ??? If so you don't have to replace the caliper to replace the caliper mount.
I didn't think the front calipers have any bolt holes except for the safety bracket for the banjo bolt.

Caliper/Caliper mount, whatever. The two bolts that hold the whole break/caliper/pad setup in place. Doesn't sound that confusing to me.
I tapped the lower stripped whole to 7/6 - 20 and put in a new bolt.

It sounds like you have a handle on the situation by tapping and replacing the bolt. Just make sure the bolt you use is the right grade. If memory serves it should be a grade 8.8 bolt, but I often don't trust my memory. All I know is if it were mine I'd look that bit of info up before buttoning it up.

Understand you are all set.
The reason for my question was the caliper mount/brackets are very plentiful and easily available. If the striped hole was in a caliper mount/bracket there is no need to replace a caliper or disconnect the brake hose.
