My tranny has a clunking reverse so I dismantled
The guts of the tranny. I had a broken tooth on the reverse idler
Gear and bad wear on the gear it meshes to.
I am awaiting the gears from Auto Ricambi.
I have not figured how to properly install the
Following:
Small bullet with pointed ends
Large bullet wth pointed ends
Needle cylindrical 1" or so long
The above items fell to the ground on disassembly
And I have located all after a week of scanning
the garage floor.
What is the proper way to install these items?
The notch that I think they are to fit to is
90 degrees on the selector shaft from the
Ball (3 notches)detent.
It might come to me but I am not feelin it.
I have a total of 6 books/shop manual and the most
They share is that the items exist but not how to install.
Thanks,
Harvey

Re: 3 small pcs how to install in tranny
Are you talking about two ball bearing looking parts and a cylindrical piece about the same diameter? They go in the holes on the left side of the tranny and are shift pins(so called I believe). Can you post pics of the pieces. That would help

Michael,
I have some pics but apparently I am too lame to
Cut them into this reply. Are there any instructions
Stating how to load pics to the reply?
I am sure that they load down a hole from the bottom of the case
And are supposed to find the groove on the shifter
Shafts. Not sure if the longer fatter bullet is towards
Reverse or 3/4 and the skinny one associated
With 1/2.
If ok I could send pics directly via email.
Thanks for the response,
Harvey
