Re: Parts?
Here are some links to some of the most popular suppliers for Fiat parts. When I need something I usually check them all to see how the prices run. I've ended up getting most of my hard parts from Bruce's (fiatparts.com), and the bling from Spider Point. I understand most of our US suppliers get theirs from Spider Point, but being in Germany a lot of the time shipping is more. In addition to these below, don't forget our moderator So Cal Mark also sells parts.

Re: Parts?
of course, internet and catalogue suppliers are gonna tack on some shipping expenses.... depending on the total cost you may find that your local over-the-counter guys as helpful for these items.

Re: Parts?
a few weeks back, Mark and the others kidded me about the red wires on the maroon cam covers. Mano matt and Denise suggested yellow wires to bring out the yellow in the fan and t-belt cover.
Accel has a add your own set of yellow wires for a v-8 engine for $35 at Auto Zone. that is one wire short of two full sets of yellow wires for less than double the standard set at a popular internet vendor of Fiat parts. plus there is zero freight involved. Yes, i do have to press on my own ends, and cut the wires to length....but hey! i work cheap when i work for myself.
I don't mind paying the price for stuff that must come from Europe, or stuff that needs to be specialty built; but if you take the time there are many items you can get locally.

Obert sells the original Cavis brand wires for our cars. They are green, subtle, and look stock. They are extremely well made - and cost only about $25.00 per set. Unlike Accel wires they don't suck.
You may suspect that I don't think much of yellow, bright red, or bright blue wires. You may be correct!

Brad,
Is there a problem with the quality how the Accel wires are made or is it the asthetics that you don't care for?

Re: Parts?
A previous owner installed a blue set of wires on my 80 Spider. I like the sound of those green ones that are well made. I'm just trying to narrow down the reason it is running so rough. I'll probably change the wires, plugs, cap and rotor and fuel filter. Oh, what is the battery that is best to use?

Oh they are ugly as hell. But that's not it really. I consider Accel to be near the bottom of the optional parts heap for various reasons, such as the quality. When you can buy a product that is several thousand times better in quality (like Cavis, Magnecore, Bosch) for literally a few dollars more it is hard to buy what they make. I also don't like their rebranding crud, like taking a $7 purolator fuel filter and putting it another box for $25. Just a personal thing.
