Underbody brackets - color?

Post by SteveLandry »

I'm underneath my 1970 now cleaning it up from the 44 year old nasty undercoating.

In bead blasting the brackets for the trailing arms and the hand brake cables, I found no trace of color under the grime. No trace of rust, either.

Were these brackets painted or left bright? Given the lack of rust, I assume they were galvanized?..... Body color or black or natural?

I've no idea... although Alan has done his body color and they look very nice indeed. Although he's also spruced up the rest of the components too...
