hood bump pads

Post by donm »

Those two little pads that mate up with the rear of the hood when it's closed? Mine are missing and thanks to the nature of my work I have access to all kinds of foams and sponge materials and I'd like to make my own. I need to to know the dimensions. Would somebody be kind enough to take some careul measurements and let me know what you get? The thickness dimension would be the most critical.

I measured 3.5" W x 1.25" D x 0.5" H. They do seem a bit compressed though.

Could someone post a photo of these as my car clearly does not have them, nor the pinch weld weather seals!
