towing

Post by Jazgeek »

soliciting opinions on towing methods. I just saw a poor blue spider go by outside my office window on a regular towtruck with the front wheels in the air.

a reputable fiat mechanic told me that he frequently gets hundreds of dollars from towing companies because the wheel chocks are too large and damage the control arm, tie rods etc.

I think I would preffer a flatbed tow, but it would be nice to have some of that suspension fixed gratis.

Mine went on a flatbed the one time it needed towed. I did tow a Fiat 1500 miles on a dolly with no problem. My newly acquired 71 came home behind a tow truck but I have no clue whether it was a flatbed or hook.
