So far it's working out great! I'm sure it will be more difficult with the windshield in but still accessible.
I should clarify my earlier post since my new seats are not really "low back" but just the lowest, at 34", of all the racing seats I found available.

A little bit every day...
I made some progress rigging my push button start system today. Yea, I know!! Brad Artigue's car it is not!!
I wanted new wiring but never said I wanted simple. I'm using a proximity sensor so the key will stay in my pocket and the car will recognize it and unlock the ignition. I will also have my trunk release hooked to it.
The system came with 7 inline fuses and I can't stand those so I rigged a fuse block and routed all the fused lines through it.

You know I'm making copious notes and sketches. When it's all sorted I will draw a diagram in autocad and paste the wiring diagram/instruction manual from painless and advanced keys. Then I'll send Andy a 15 page PDF

can you share what tie rod ends did you use with that dodge omni rack to mate up with the fiat parts?

I'm using stock tie rod ends, sleeve and clamp. I've cut the sleeve in half and pinned it to the rack end.
As I said before, I have no proof that this will work. I'm pretty sure that at 11" ball to ball, my rod ends are shorter than stock and I may end up with some bump steer. Also, as I said before, I have no idea what I'm talking about and am totally flying by the seat of my pants attempting this. If I fail completely, I will have had fun trying...

Rob also mentioned the same rack as a good starting point so you guys might be on the right path and besides
flying by the seat of ones own pants is fun. Your doing some cool mods to the car I'm sure it's going to turn out

Thanks Daniel! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I can live with a little bump steer if it's tight and straight the rest of the time. Again, once I get it rolling, I will post my findings.

I finished all the wiring under the dash, with the exception of the ignition wiring (waiting on an 80 amp relay to power all my sub assemblies) and started at the back end. I kind of saw this coming but could use some help. I did a test run on the fuel sender that came with the tank. It's a two wire sender and reads full on the gauge when it has never seen a drop of fuel. Both wires the same result...
Tomorrow I think I will pull my stock sender and see if I can retro it into the tank.

there are many fuel senders, some are high ohm full and some are no ohm full. i have not measured a fiat but you get the idea. aftermarket senders are available in many ohm flavors

Beautiful job, very impressive!! I was going to go with a rear trunk electronic release, where did you get yours? If you have a part number that would be great!

If you google electric trunk release, there are many options.
I did have to change the return spring on the latch, just a heads up.

So researching fuel senders and from Beek's post, does anyone know which way the stock senders work? Low ohms full/high ohms empty? Or the other way around?
