Any events in the metro NYC area?
I'm on Long Island (Northport). Are there any (relatively) local events?

Not much in the way of Fiat events that I know of.
But next weekend, Sunday June 1, is the best car show that I know of in the Greater NYC area, and that's the Spring Meet at Westbury Gardens in Westbury LI. It set on the grass at the beautiful Old Westbury Manor, one of the last of hundreds of old castles on LI and it features probably the best cars in our area of all types, from 1920 Lincolns, 1930 Cords, 50's Chevies and Pontiacs to the muscle car era and up to classic Ferrari's, Lambo's, and yes, our Fiats are quite comfortable there to! I haven't been there in years, but I do plan to get out there with my Spider this year.
I also go to my mechanic in Woodside Queens on Saturday mornings when I can. Sort of a loose "coffee and cars" type of gathering. He's an Alfa specialist, but all Italian cars are welcome. Sometimes quite a few Italian car guys stop by and shoot the bull and waste the morning. I like it because it gives me a cruising destination for my Spider. If your interested, let me know.
If you hear of something, let me know. I'd like to hook up with some Fiat guys to...

Jim,
Thanks for info on the upcoming car show. I will check it against our rather busy calendar (4 kids makes weekends tough). Will let you know if I'm going as I'd love to meet up with other "local" owners. There seem to be a handful of spider owners in the area.

Re: Any events in the metro NYC area?
Any other NY'ers or LI'ers interested in coming out for the Westbury Gardens show on Sunday?
Myself and Bruce (btoran) will likely be the only Spider owners out there carrying the Fiat banner, so please come out and help us! We're likely going to get put in enemy territory, the Alfa Romeo section, so we can use the help!
The weather should be great, the venue is just beautiful, and the cars will be some of the nicest in the Tri State area, so come on out!
