Funny thing about girlfriends, they tend to point out problem areas of a car that I never paid attention too...
My 77 smells of gas big time. I have removed the charcoal canister a couple years ago but it had the smell even before that. There is not a gas smell in the trunk, nor in the cabin if the car is off, it seems like most of the odors are coming from the engine bay.
I wouldn't be opposed from putting in a new charcoal canister (does anyone have a link to a vendor?), I also plan on changing all engine bay fuel hoses and fuel filter since the hoses and most clamps appear to be original. I will also try tracing the entire fuel line to the tank to check for any leaks.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

under the shifter plate is the inner shift boot, which is attached to a foam base. mine was deteriorated and was letting in fumes as well as a whole bunch of heat. autoricambi sells new ones for less than $20.

If she is Sicilian, she gets rid of you! Doesn't work too well the other way around!
