Edit... Resto mod FIRST DRIVE
I've been busy with rigging my engine bay and wiring the whole car. Still have brake and fuel lines to fit but getting there...

Absolutely STUNNING! Great job and attention to detail.... Is that some sort of custom cold air intake welded/grafted into the driver side fender?

Re: Engine bay coming together
Thanks gang!!! The kudos are very motivating!!
Giuseppe, yes, you guessed it. Cold air intake. I've seen pictures of your work and you redefine "attention to detail"!!
Here's a better picture,
The other side...

Couple more pictures...
This is so much more fun than cleaning crud off the bottom of the car!!
Here is the headlight relay block, mostly for Steve as he is using the same type.
As you can see, I am attempting to out shine Andy.
I will have the 7" high/low H4 and a pair of 5 3/4" H4 mounted below, plus fog lights behind the grill...

Absolutely beautiful job on the build though... Really impressive. Now - if you do a HID conversion you can have more fun!
Re: Engine bay coming together
Thanks Andy! Can I wait with the HID conversion? I have a little bit going on already
I keep adding bits and will post more pictures soon. Fuel and brake lines arriving tomorrow...

I've been playing around with a DRL/turn signal LED bulb combined actually. Runs as a DRL, then you put a voltage on the turn signal and it lights up Amber while extinguishing the DRL. After 2 seconds of no turn signal voltage, the DRL lights back up again. I've wired up the DRL side to the parking lights, and fitted the bulb into the top of my headlight housing. This w/end I think they're going to come out though, and be fitted into a Mk3 Golf indicator light that should fit into the square hole... maybe... perhaps...
Now back on the HIDs - at least get the ballasts in now onto the inside wings, will save time later . I'm trying to work out where to fit all four ballasts for my hood...
