New Fiat 2000 Owner

Post by parottthead »

I bought an 81 Fiat 2000 last year and intend to make it a weekend car that I can depend on. So far I've discovered that it was originally a Turbo, but the engine was swapped to a carbeurated one with a 28/32 ADHA. I'm not sure what year or displacement the engine is as I am having trouble locating the # on the block and head.

I look forward to tapping into the expertise I've seen on the forum.

Don't know why anyone would willingly put that carb on a car! Pretty sure you have a 2.0L and most likely it's either the original or a 79-80 because of the carb choice.

Welcome aboard and have fun with your car. Take lots of pictures too!

I plan on taking a bunch of pics before I start doing anything to the car. My wife loves driving it, and even with the current carb/manifold it runs OK. It is noticably lacking when I want to accelerate fast, which I hope will be alleviated by getting a single plane/ADFA on it. Are there any online sources for new or rebuilt carbs?

new webers are available again, try Pierce Manifolds. I'd be leery of paying much for a rebuilt
