brake line question (replacing)

Well...another rookie mistake. At least it is a minor one. I crimped my rear driver side brake line and it is leaking brake fluid something fierce. My question since all the other lines are clean and in good shape, could I simply replace the damaged line or should I replace the entire system? It is a 72 and brake system is ALL original.

All depends on the overall condition of the car and your intentions. Are you going to repair things as they break, or do you have a plan for a partial or complete restoration sometime in the near future? To buy yourself some time, you can buy a "splice kit" at a generic auto parts store to repair the kinked section. If you go this route, religiously inspect the repair on a regular basis.

Yea, not looking to tweak with a splice but good suggestion. I think I will just drop the cash for new lines unless someone replies to my used part request. It isn't urgent at this point but something that obviously needs to be repaired.

I would just replace the damaged metal line with a good used one. They rarely go bad, as long as they are not rusty.
