Hi-
I was a member a few years back and previously had some problems re-registering. I live near Oak Run, Shasta County, CA. I'm currently driving an 82 Spider. Purchased in Sacramento 7/06. Previously drove a 75-until Deer collision on 5/13/05 (yes-Friday). I've also got a few project/ parts cars-so if anyone local needs anything-fell free to contact me. I eventually hope to put together a pre-smog small bumper car-maybe a 72, more likely a 74-it has a better body and I'm partial to the 1800. I'm currently preoccupied with getting my 79 Brava-stored since 96-back on the road. Any California 79 carb Spider owners (fellow accursed) have a local (within 100 miles) smog test recommendation?
Any North California Fiat owner out there?

Welcome back Ed. So you're saying those watch for deer signs we see going up I-5 aren't just for show? And was the '75 a Spider? Ouch.
On the other hand, you live in great country if you're a deer hunter.
Post some pictures for us of your Fiat stable.
Ron

Hi Ron-
Yes, the 75 is a Spider-with (formerly) one of the nicest bondo and rust free bodies I've ever seen (sigh) Drove it home but needs major work-driver's side fender, hood, valence etc. I hope to get it back on the road someday with the help of several donor cars. Sorry I don't have better (Prettier) photos-Below is the 74 project after I cleaned it up and got it running after 10 years of barn storage in Vacaville. Those other albums are pretty much just inventory/condition shots of the other cars. Don't have Brava or 75 Spider photos. My 82 is quite original and a bit shabby-still looking for a leather driver's seat-but looks nice in the lassen peak shot. You may want to take a close look at the yellow 72-a beater perhaps-but quite a "unique" spider....

Ed,
I have a '76 spider that is being chopped up. Perhaps some of the body sections would interest you. The front driver side is straight, and does have a small amount of surface rust where the paint has disappeared. The vehicle is in Ventura, CA. Feel free to contact me if interested.

Hi Alvon-
Thanks but i have no shortage of body parts. Only short of time, skills (welding) and ambition. I should amend that- I would still like to find a SB hood-in very good to excellent condition for the 75- I have a ratty one. Remember, too that I'm nearly 600 miles from Ventura-I live 30 miles east of Redding CA-so transport/shipping is an issue for larger parts. I'm few hundred miles from Bay area and Oregon Fiat folks also-so I was hoping a post here might ID some "local" owners.
